Diablo Immortal is a free-to-play online action role-playing game (MMORPG) that marks a major expansion of the Diablo universe onto mobile platforms (Android, iOS) as well as PC (Windows). Diablo Immortal inherits and preserves the signature action RPG (ARPG) hack-and-slash gameplay that has defined the series. Players control their characters from an isometric perspective, traversing maps, battling hordes of monsters and powerful bosses, and collecting loot.
Story
The premise of Diablo Immortal directly follows the ending of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. After Baal, the Lord of Destruction, corrupted the Worldstone, Tyrael was forced to make the painful decision to destroy this ancient stone to prevent its corruption from spreading across humanity.
The cataclysmic explosion shattered the Worldstone into countless fragments, each carrying primal creative power but tainted with corruption, and scattered them across the lands of Sanctuary. Five years after that disaster, these fragments have become the target of a relentless hunt by dark forces.
