Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is an Action-Adventure RPG described as an open-world ARPG with a class-based combat system, exploration, quests, and cooperative (co-op) elements, set in the Game of Thrones universe. The combat mechanics follow the Action RPG style with full manual controls, emphasizing dodging, parrying, analyzing enemy attack patterns, and using skills effectively.
Story
Players create their own character, a bastard and heir to House Tyre, a minor noble family in the North. The player character’s siblings have died (possibly during the Red Wedding), prompting a quest to restore the house’s former glory including seeking legitimization from the ruling powers.
The game is set during the latter half of Season 4 and possibly extending into Season 5 of the HBO series. Notable referenced events include the aftermath of the Red Wedding, the rise of House Bolton, and the growing threat of the White Walkers.
