Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari is an engaging 3D battle RPG adapted from the popular supernatural manga and anime series. Set in the ancient city of Kyoto, players take on the role of a member of the Kyoto Shugan, undertaking missions to explore and combat Tsukumogami—spirits that inhabit old objects.
Story
The game is set in Kyoto, Japan, and revolves around the Tsukumogami, spirits that can be either benign or hostile. The Saenome clan is tasked with peacefully returning these spirits to their own world.
The protagonist, Kunato Hyouma, is a member of the clan who harbors deep resentment toward Tsukumogami due to a past tragedy. His grandfather sends him to live with Nagatsuki Botan, an unusual young woman who coexists peacefully with Tsukumogami as if they were her family.
