Story
The universe of Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is divided between two realms: the world of humans and the realm of the gods. Caught in the middle is Sakuna a proud and undisciplined harvest goddess. Through her own missteps, she causes a major incident involving the divine food storehouse.
As punishment, she is banished from the lofty halls of the gods and sent to Hinoe Island, a wild and corrupted land overrun with demons. To reclaim her honor, Sakuna must purify the island while supporting the human settlers now under her care. This means mastering two equally vital duties: battling hostile monsters and perfecting the intricate, sacred process of growing rice a task that not only strengthens her powers but also serves as a metaphor for her personal growth.
